Bug Fest is crawling into the Academy of Natural Sciences on August 11th and 12th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m each day . The Academy of Natural Sciences’ bug expert, Karen Verderame, is an invertebrate specialist, a naturalist, a teacher, a bug lover, and Kristen’s favorite guest EVER. Listen as the two talk about all things BUGS - and give all of the details about the ANSP Bug Fest this year. Bug Fest will feature more than 100 species of live insects on display, as well as the Entomology Collection containing more than 3.5 million specimens. There will be bed bug sniffing dog demonstrations by Western Pest Services, edible bugs, cockroach races, nature walks, face painting, temporary tattoos, informative exhibits and experts, and more.
