F.O.T.S. Coach Kyle Armstrong

In this episode, Ryan and Riley are joined by their longtime coach Kyle Armstrong! He was the head coach of Temecula Valley High School from 2012-2020. In his eight year span, he led the Golden Bears to five Southwestern league titles, a state playoff win, and the school’s one and only CIF-SS championship game appearance. He played a vital role in both of our basketball careers and lives and is an all around fantastic human being.

The guys talk about Coach Armstrong’s TVHS Hoops legacy, Bill Walton, Armstrong’s initial connection to TVHS, Ryan’s middle school hoops career, how Armstrong met Riley, the interviewing process for a high school coaching job, implementing a new offense, his years coaching the boys at TVHS, that time we played against Stanley Johnson at Mater Dei, and what it’s like to go undefeated (2:40).
