The Ins and Outs of Finding The Right Diamond

When looking for the perfect ring, most of us walk into the jewlrey store knowing very little!  Today's guest grew up around diamonds and is here to ensure that you know the answers to all the right questions!

Deep Metha is the 3rd generation diamond expert with USA Jewlery.  He provides an insight into what you need to know to make the right decision for your lifestyled and budget!

About Deep Metha -
My dad Divyang Mehta and his brother began in the diamond trade when they were both 17 years old. They set up an operation for their previous employer in Hong Kong and ran it successfully for nearly 5 years. At this point they had creative differences with the owner and they decided to part ways. Both then moved to New York and started a diamond trading company of their own. A few years later they started producing fine jewelry and started distributing merchandise al throughout the caribbean on a wholesale level. 
My person journey began in the summer of 2011 when i started leaning the retail trade and its what really began my exposure in to the Fine Jewelry world. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2013 and i immediately flew to Ketchikan, AK for my harsh introduction to the jewelry world. The rules were pretty firm, I was not allowed to sell jewelry my first two summers I spent there. So my first position was to me a "greeter" at the front door of the store. It was to bring in customers from the street and into the store. This experience changed my perspective on life and really taught me the fundamentals of being able to sell in the first place. After that experience being behind the counter was a breeze. After each summer I then began working at our Florida location till the end of April came around and it was time to head back to Alaska. 
I returned to the US in 2016 and headed straight to Alaska. We completed the most successful season we ever had that year. Finally in 2019 I coordinated a move for our business into a independent retail location. We constructed a brand new store from ground up. New showcases, ceilings, walls and floors were all installed with the intention of doing business for the next 20 years in the same location. In 2021 post pandemic I opened a second store in Ketchikan, AK to further add to the exposure of cruise ship passengers I would not have access to otherwise. 
We have finally completed 2022 and we are happy and proud to say it was the most successful year we have ever had. Recently I am in the middle of constructing a brand new website geared to millennials and Gen Z'ers and their love of fashion gold jewelry as that has been an emerging market due to social media and the trend of minimalism.  To chime in during the live show, comment on our YouTube Chanel.
