"I absolutely detested being called a singer-songwriter...I wanted to be David Bowie, I didn't want to be John Denver."

This week, Josh Novak stopped by the patio for a captivating talk. Josh (branded "Mr Denver Music" by a friend of mine), is a Denver native, a songwriter since the age of six and thus, someone who is just deeply rooted in our music scene. Josh is a driven man, pushed forward by his laser sighted focus on his one main passion, writing and performing music

Rescheduled by weather multiple times, I have been trying to get Josh on the show for months now and am so happy we finally were able to make it happen. Listen as we talk about learning how to play left handed, the thrill of playing your first real shows, trying to shake the stigma of labels, seeking a specific sound, the impact of life on your music, recording with talented producers, and so so so much more.
