Stephen Barnes (Thousand Yard Stare, Upshot Management)

Hello again and thanks for returning for podcast #24. This time with lead vocalist of Thousand Yard Stare and freelance artist manager, marketing expert and lecturer Steve Barnes.
Steve and I work together at a Bimm Bristol, in fact we both joined the business in the same year. We sat down for a chat in the Waterfront cafe in Bristol at the end of last summer to discuss Steves start in music and get some of his thoughts on the parallels between being in a band in the early 90s and today now that Steve works with a lot of creatives at the start of their own journeys now.
I am definitely going to get Steve back to talk more about ‘getting the band back together’ as well as some of the really interesting work he has done over in mainland Europe and further a field. But for now I hope you enjoy this chat.
