Welcome back. I took a break over Christmas and new year in order to sort out the many many episodes still to come in this first series of the Behind the Business podcast and have still managed to leave it all till the last minute to finalise.
Episode 11 is a special one for me. It is a conversation I had back in September 2018 will Ann Harrison of SSB solicitors. As I mention in the pod Ann literally wrote the book on the music business in the UK. Her Book Music: The Business is now in its 7th edition and is available from all the usual places. I would recommend that anyone in the business or wanting to get in the business get themselves a copy of it. It’s a very useful thing to have on your shelf. I have listed a link to its page on Amazon below.
It was amazing that Ann agreed to be featured in the first series of this podcast and if I’m lucky she might come back on in the future as there is so much more to talk with her about. I get the privilege of working with Ann whilst I was at peermusic. It’s a very weird thing to be working with someone who wrote a textbook that helped you get through university.
