Episode 8 is my first chat with some on the Artist side of things in the Music Business. Skip Curtis, singer and 1/3 of the songwriting for Cardiff based band XY&O.
I know Skip from my role as a uni lecturer in both Bristol and Cardiff as Skip also dabbles in this area making sure those coming up and looking at a career in the business get to share in the wisdom that he has gained from being in it.
I sat down with Skip at the beginning of August of 2018 for an open and candid chat about how XY&O came to be. What their success has looked like and what things look like moving forward for him and the group. It was a really interesting chat and Skip has some great insight into the business from the other side of things.
