Lia Farrington began singing at an early age. The New Jersey native has a rich classical background that helps give her the versatility, vocal power and the stamina needed to maintain her soulful, rock-infused crooning. Described by her peers as a "heartfelt poet with a rock and blues, melancholy way", Lia cites her biggest inspirations as Fiona Apple, Jack White, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Radiohead. Lia's father was an avid lover of rock n roll, and after his death, she gained more inspiration to bring the sound of expressive, soulful rock to the forefront of her music journey. She is currently working on recording her debut EP with co-writer and guitarist Garrett Craig, expected for an early 2017 release. In this segment, Lia discusses her dad's death and how it inspired her music and got her into rock music, the writing process and hardships she’s experienced.
