Before Pressa would blow up out of the Toronto rap scene, coming straight outta Jane and Finch. Before Pressa would drop hit songs with collaborators like Sleepy Hallow and Sheff G, as well as a tour across the world with the 6-God himself, Drake. Before Pressa would have over 10K followers on Twitter and over 236K followers on Instagram at the time of this recording. Not a whole lot of musicians can claim to be buddies with some of the biggest celebrities in their home country while still only being in their early 20’s, but Canadian rapper Pressa is one such artist. With shout-outs from the likes of The Weeknd and Tory Lanez, to opening for Drake on his “Boy Meets World” tour in 2017 at the young age of only 21 – it would be easy to assume that Pressa has lived a charmed life, but the truth is – his journey has been anything but. Growing up in an area of Toronto ripe with gang difficulties and poverty, not to mention having a father locked up for life – it would have been easy for Pressa to follow in his dad’s footsteps, and for a moment there, he almost did.
