Ayesha Curry was born Ayesha Disa Alexander on March 23rd, 1989 in the Toronto suburb of Markham, Ontario, Canada. Her mother, Carol Alexander is of Afro-Jamaican and Chinese-Jamaican descent, while her father, John Alexander, is of mixed African-American and Polish descent. Ayesha Curry met her husband, NBA superstar, and two-time MVP, Stephen Curry, first met while attending church in Charlotte, North Carolina, bonding over shared experiences they had while living North of the border in Toronto, Canada as children. After pursuing a career in Hollywood for a short period of time in her youth, Ayesha would dedicate herself to the culinary arts and building a thriving lifestyle brand based on her passion for cooking and feeding others. She’s also created her own YouTube channel, written two cookbooks, and appeared on multiple cooking shows, racking up credentials in the culinary scene faster than most.
