It's not often you get to get real with someone who has something to say, but Amie Aitken is one of those people. She's the second female minister ever to be the sole pastor of a Baptist church in Scotland. She is an ambassador for Home for Good. She once planned a tour as a worship singer without writing any songs.
Amie is a former complementarian who has started leading a church. She is a respite foster carer, a survivor of neglect and a tough family background, and in this episode she talks about healing, coping with attachment issues and whether God wants us to feel shame. She's funny, humble and vulnerable. She's also one of those rare people who admits that she might be wrong.
It was a joy to talk to her. I'm sure you'll enjoy getting to know her.
