In this episode, we discuss Sister Shariffa's journey to Islam. Sister Shariffa was recruited before college, to learn more about Islam and to free Muslim women from practicing their faith. Initially, she had very little knowledge about Islam, but as her studies progressed, she moved from being a detractor to a believer.
Sister Shariffa converted in 1985. She had an international upbringing, living in various countries, including the United States, Panama, Japan, and Germany.
Her father was in the United States Army. She currently resides in Kuwait and is a professor of English for medical and scientific purposes. She is passionate about teaching people about Islam and breaking the stereotypes about Islam.
