#363 TODAY GOD SENDS YOU THIS MESSAGE; St John Paul II said that St Paul opens horizons before us that are so vast and beautiful! Something New! Christ offers us not the law, but "Life in the SPIRIT"

John Paul II begins with a question. What is the meaning of the Statement: “the flesh has desires contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit has desires contrary to the flesh” (Gal5:17)? 

Then he addresses the human heart. And specifically Jesus Sermon on the mount about how we look at one another, and the battle for purity of heart. 

Now St Paul JPII says opens horizons before us that are even vaster. Christ came into the world/fallen world, world no longer filled with the Spirit but the world of the powers and principalities of Satan, demons who rule the fallen world. A world that God, Jesus Christ, enters to restore to the children of God, what has been lost. Their purity of heart as they battle the 3 fold concupiscence, Eyes, flesh and the Pride of life. 

Christ comes in to Redeem us, Save us…”Redemption of the body” also has a cosmic dimension, all of creation, but at its center stands man: man constituted in the personal unity of spirit and body. It is precisely in this man, in his “heart” and thus in all his behavior, that the redemption of Christ bears fruit, thanks to the powers of the Spirit that bring about justification, that is, that cause justice to “abound” in man, (Matt 5:20), “For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
