This Saturday, March 14, kids will be reading as much as they can as part of the Lawyers for Literacy Read-A-Thon.
Over the past decade, the collaboration between West Broadway Youth Outreach and the Law Society of Manitoba has raised more than $100,000 for WBYO, with more than 500 lawyers taking part and volunteering their time.
BeCause Radio spoke with Ken Opaleke, Executive Director of West Broadway Youth Outreach, as well as Kris Dangerfield, CEO of the Law Society of Manitoba, to learn more about Lawyers for Literacy, and how it promotes literacy skills and supports West Broadway Youth Outreach's programming.
