This week at the Beauties Sports Desk, Addie has a 1 on 1 interview with Courtney Maines.

This week we talk rugby! Being spearheaded by the recent Womens World Cup in New Zealand, this sport has shown to be a lot larger in Canada than what most people would ever imagine.

Courtney spent her USPORT career at St. FX and has a crazy amount of knowledge to stories to talk about when it comes to her playing career. With the season only being 6 games long the training season is intense and compact.

Also in the conversation we talk about how we get more girls into rugby as we need to get over the stereotype of what it most people think about rugby. These women are playing in the most physically demanding sport which requires a tremendous amount of strategy and teamwork!
