In this episode of Beau my God, host Beau Bradley (he/they) sits down with special guest, creative, writer, photographer, AND femme presenting trans man, Marty Chenyao (he/him) from The Antiaocialite. The pair discuss their experiences (both similar and different) with finding gender competent therapists and health care providers; toxic masculinity; and the overall transgender experience. Marty shares his recent experience undergoing top surgery, and vulnerably shares his battle with post-surgical depression. A highlight of this episode, is when Marty and Beau discuss toxic masculinity, masculine validation, and what it is like to understand your own balance of femininity and masculinity. So many more topics are covered in this fun chat including Marty's explanation of his art and why he creates stories with flipped gender roles and queer twists.
