Thirst is essential to life

it show us that we are in NEEDit acts as an ALARMit needs to be satisfied outside of yourself

Here, Jesus blows our mind and tells us that we can be a "bubbling brook" for others (Proverbs 18:4). A couple of things have to happen first:

we have to be thirstywe have to turn our toes and feet and hearts toward Jesus in coming and believingHe has to generously give us the Holy SpiritWe have to abide there at the source to be able to stay connectedthen out of my heart and flow rivers of living waterI get to go from just being a consumer to being a consumer AND a source
