We watch and maybe are watched by a bunch of witnesses (not saints, sorry.)
But here is the trouble: We are WEIGHTED by sin, and we have a race that we are supposed to be running in. A distance race. One that will require ENDURANCE. This does not make you my friend. This just makes you human.
If you have Struggled against sin, and worked to lay it aside, then you are my friend. A little conflict with sin is the effort we are looking for. Having sin cling is the easy part. Laying it aside makes this a much more interesting movie.
