Everybody "votes with their feet" regarding their choice of Who to follow. Generally, allegiance with the Lord will result in evidence of knowing and and seeing Him. Children of God resemble being in the family of God.

Similarly, those who still "practice sin" make it a habit. Their continuance is a test of reality. Those around them generally know it, as there is fruit that is plain to see. So why might I want to change? To get the good stuff of being in God's family. Sin is temporarily fun, but the really good stuff is in knowing God and acting accordingly.
