Specifically we talk about diet, exercise and preparation including sleep. You want to get as much time between when you find out about the test and the time the test actually is to prepare for it. You also want to know exactly what the standard test consists of. You also want to make sure that you train yourself with a little bit of a cushion meaning that if the cut off is 1 mile in 10 minutes that you should be able to run 1 mile in nine minutes and 30 seconds before you take the test; just have a little buffer zone.
