After 15 years of being the lead eating disorder specialist at a major hospital, Dr. Cristina Castagnini left to open her own practice and start a podcast with the hopes of spreading more awareness about mental illness, eating disorders and body image issues.

With the pandemic of body dysmorphia and how people see themselves including myself its fit to understand what people may be going through when they are faced with eating disorders, anorexia, or bulimia.

People often have a misconception of what an eating disorder looks like, you can be any size, shape or physical level and have an eating disorder.

Men also have eating disorders and body image issues.

Dr.Cristina and I get into the mind of eating disorder and what someone may be experiencing.

Everyone has their own unique reasons for having an eating disorder, and each has their own journey they will need to embark on in order to heal the wounds of the visual outcome.

First thing is to want to get help, because work is going to be involved.
Second is to learn how to love yourself.
Third is to be kind and caring for yourself.

If this resonates with you, and is a sign for you to get help.
Give yourself permission to ask for help towards a healthier holistic self.

As someone that went through her own eating disorder, I know how hard it is to ask for help. I'm grateful to God for seriously creating havoc in my life that forced me to start eating slowly.

It took me a long time to heal through my health and body issues.
There is only one way.

One of Self-love and Self-acceptance
