Teach Us to Pray Pt. 2 | January 14, 2023

Matthew 6:9-13 (NKJV) Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.


YOUR KINGDOM COME


✓  I’m inviting God’s will into my world. 

Matthew 6:33 (NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.


✓  I’m believing for darkness to be destroyed. 

Colossians 1:13-14 (TLB) For he has rescued us out of the darkness and gloom of Satan’s kingdom and brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who bought our freedom with his blood and forgave us all our sins.


✓  I’m living with eternity in mind. 



THROUGH ME

Colossians 1:27 (MSG) This mystery has been kept in the dark for a long time, but now it’s out in the open. God wanted everyone to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you.

Matthew 6:10 (KJV) Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.


I. A HEART OF SURRENDER.

Mark 1:15 (NIV) The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” 

Galatians 2:20 (NIV) I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.


II. A PASSION TO BE MORE LIKE JESUS. 

Ephesians 5:1-2 (MSG) Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.
