Jay Turner is a giant in the local skate community.  Cutting his teeth riding street and vert on both sides of the bay, Jay has had his hands in virtually every possible facet of the continued growth of the art, sport and culture of skateboarding.  An early contributor to Skatepark of Tampa, Jay went on to run Central Skate Park in Clearwater (later 688 Skate Park), created and managed competitions throughout the southeast and east coast under the moniker Skateboarding Association of America and even working with Team Pain Skatepark Design.  Today he runs Anchor Skate Supply in downtown St. Pete (just 1800 feet from St. Pete Regional Skate Park, in which he played a huge role in bringing about), as well as mentoring and teaching skaters regardless of race, gender or age.  We are lucky to have Jay out there keeping skateboarding going.
