For World Sight Day on 13 October, we turn our attention to the conditions that can affect the eye - from the readily treatable to those that cause blindness.

Renowned ophthalmologist and senior university lecturer, Dr Con Petsoglou joins Lex & Patricia to talk about eye problems caused by ageing as well as those which are hereditary.

Living treasure, the Rev Bill Crews AM joins us in Nostalgia Town. The  much-loved Australian, who has spent his entire adult life in the service of others, is a passionate supporter of the homeless and the needy.

In Steppin’ Out today we head to Adelaide to speak to Vicki Couzens from Vision Australia Radio station - 5RPH. Vicki lost her sight as an infant, but her blindness hasn’t stopped her from helping other print-handicapped listeners by contributing as a presenter on the station’s reading service.
