Welcome back to Awakened Exchanges! I’m your host Jay Rich and I’m recording this the weekend after I was at the Oregon Hempfest event that we sponsored with Awakened Vapes. We’ve had two weeks off and I haven’t touched my computer in that time. I’ve been doing my best to keep my spirits up, though it’s getting harder and harder as of late. Guests have been harder to come by as well, and I’m not quite sure why or what direction to head with the podcast. I’ll get into it more later in this episode, but I truly want to thank you again for joining us here on the exchange, you really do help keep my energy up and things moving forward. This week’s episode is going to be a shorter one, in part because we’re back in the middle of another heatwave, but also because I haven’t had much luck getting guests to commit to a schedule. I know that it’s summer and people are busy doing things, so I try to keep that in mind. Everyone has been cooped up for more than a year and they’re trying to have a life, but I worry a bit, especially now as Covid cases are predictably surging and we’re ramping up for another round of hospitalizations and deaths this fall winter. I hope that we don’t end up having to deal with the lockdowns and restrictions of 2020 for 2022, but I’m not sure what the other options are going to be. Maybe people will start to really listen to Bret Weinstein and the doctor’s he’s been having on his shows to talk about Ivermectin and Covid prevention. It took more than a year for people to take him seriously about the potential of a lab leak, but now that looks like the more likely scenario. Kinda crazy to think about when saying that would have gotten you kicked off most platforms just a few months ago. Don’t worry about me going to in-depth about that though; I’m going to spend most of this episode talking about the future of this podcast and Awakened Vapes, the reason I started this show in the first place. Time to dive deep and be vulnerable again myself?
