In this episode of INSIGHTS, we are joined by Warren Jones and Parker Black aka Prison Religion, who are responsible the most sonically abrasive and intense albums we have ever covered on Awake All Hours. Finding a spiritual home on Lee Gamble’s boundary pushing UIQ imprint, ‘Hard Industrial BOP’ is a 22 minute storm channeling savage noise, industrial hip-hop and gnarled electronics, all delivered with the energy of hardcore punk.

Over the course of this interview, Warren and Parker discuss the Richmond noise, rap and hardcore scenes, jumping out of windows, getting into electronic music, M.I.A’s ‘Paper Planes’, boundary pushing genres and artists, their creative process, subverting subversive music, writing 'Hard Industrial BOP', finding a home on UIQ, working with producer S280F and the significance of a 1956 Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers album.
