Here are the recalls for the week: 2018-2019 Lexus, Toyota Cars, Minivans, Pickup Trucks and SUVs: A fuel pump may stop operating. Toyota said the issue is still being investigated and the remedy is under development.

You can find out if your car has a past recall by going to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls  and inputting your VIN number.


Consumer Reports has a list of vehicles that have a record of much-worse-than-average overall reliability based on subscriber responses to their Annual Auto Survey. Today, we’re going to caution you about:

In the News:            The Mustang From "Bullitt" Sells For $3.74 Million At Auction

The 390 cubic-inch 1968 Ford Mustang GT made famous by a very good car chase scene in Steve McQueen’s not very good detective film Bullitt was sold Friday by Mecum auctions in Kissimmee, Fla. for a massive $3.74 million about 5 minutes after the car rolled onto the dais.

That the owner had purchased the car for just $3500 from a newspaper ad and stored the vehicle. The owner passed away and left it to his son in 2014. I’ll post a link to the story with this audio.
