2017-2022 Mercedes and Freightliner vehicles have a recall: eCall. The fix can be performed either through an over-the-air update or through a dealer.

You can find out if your car has a past recall by going to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and inputting your VIN. Or find their SaferCar app.

News: The average age of a car on U.S. roads is now a little over 12 years, marking a new record, according to S&P Mobility, continuing a five-year climb. The lack of new cars on lots, in turn, drove customers who couldn't wait to replace their vehicle to buy used ones, making them 40.5% more expensive than last year. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2022/05/24/average-american-car-12-years-old/9907901002/
