Today on Killer Women, host Danielle Girard welcomes back Hannah Morrissey and Tessa Wegert to celebrate their December 6 releases.

Hannah Morrissey is the author of the Black Harbor suspense series which includes Hello, Transcriber and The Widowmaker. A former bookseller, police transcriber, and three-decade survivor of Wisconsin winters, Hannah enjoys putting her characters (and readers) in bone-chilling atmospheres that permeate beyond the page. Naturally, her novels have carved out their own sub-genre of “Midwestern Noir.” When not pinning characters to her murder board, she can be found… nowhere, as she prefers to either hide indoors or travel to faraway lands—as long as they have a bookstore.

Tessa Wegert is the author of the Shana Merchant novels, which include Death in the Family, The Dead Season, Dead Wind, and The Kind to Kill. A former digital media strategist and freelance journalist, Tessa has contributed to such publications as Forbes, The Huffington Post, The Economist, and The Globe and Mail. Raised in Quebec, she now lives with her husband and children in Connecticut, where she studies martial arts and is co-president of Sisters in Crime CT.
