CB Intelligence today introduced Jasper Health, an intelligent platform that offers care guidance and navigation to people with cancer, at its third annual Digital Health150 event. This event showcases 150 of the most promising private digital healthcare companies around the globe. CB Insights’ annual Future of Health event featured the unveiling of Digital Health 150 for 2015.

Since 2016, the 2021 Digital Health 150 cohort has raised approximately $14.9B through 522 deals. It includes startups in various stages of development, including well-funded unicorns. This year, startups are working on data integration and analytics, hybrid virtual/in-person care, clinical intelligence, digital therapeutics, and other areas.

Brian Lee, SVP, CB Insights Intelligence Unit, stated that the Digital Health 150 was one of our largest yet. It highlighted 16 categories, including virtual care and clinical trials tech. “Last year’s class saw more than 20 exits and raised $18.6B additional funding. We’re thrilled to see the future success and announcements of this year’s winners.”

Jasper Health is proud to have been named one of the top digital health companies. Adam Pellegrini (CEO and Co-Founder, Jasper Health) said that this recognition reinforces our efforts in transforming cancer care by helping members navigate the complex healthcare system and providing meaningful psychosocial support. Jasper will announce the launch of Jasper Care + at CES 2022. This will offer a truly connected care experience, using AI to foster empathy at scale.

The CB Insights research group selected the Digital Health 150 out of a pool that included applicants and nominees using an evidence-based method. The selection process was based on data provided by the companies, business models of the companies and momentum in the market. Also, Mojaic scores, CB Insights proprietary algorithm that assesses private companies’ overall health and growth potential, were considered.

Jasper is home to over 10,000 people who have been diagnosed with cancer. They use the service to keep track of their symptoms, medications, treatments and appointments. Its personal guidance capabilities contextually surface educational materials and recommend actions. Jasper members reported that they experienced a decrease in stress and anxiety. Two-thirds also claimed improved medication adherence after using the platform. Jasper also helps employers and plans to reduce costs by helping patients find the best solutions, facilitating data exchange and coordination between visits.
