Gravie was named to Inc. 2021 Best in Business List in the Insurance category at the gold medal level. Inc.’s Best in Business Awards recognizes 147 companies who have made a significant impact on society. Gravie, a health benefits company that makes it easier for people to access and purchase healthcare, was also included in the accompanying article: “A Health Insurance Plan That You Won’t Hate?” This is the Mission of This Company. “

This list can be found in Inc. Magazine’s Winter issue (on newsstands December 14, 2014). It recognizes American small and medium-sized privately owned businesses that have made a significant impact on their communities, industries, society, and the environment.

Abir Sen, cofounder and coCEO of Gravie says that it is an honor to be named a Best Business Company by Inc. “Gravie was established on the belief that there must be a better way of offering health benefits. It is very satisfying to be acknowledged as a company making positive impacts as we grow and innovate.

Gravie is the fastest-growing health benefit company in America. Its revenues have more than doubled over the past three years. It closed its largest round yet of funding earlier this year, $28 million in a SeriesD round of financing. The company launched two new products this year. The company’s flagship health plan, comfort, provides 100% coverage for most healthcare services, including preventive, primary, specialist, urgent, and emergency visits. It also covers generic prescriptions and lab work. Members don’t have to pay a deductible before they can use their benefits. The second is GraviePay, which members can use to pay any medical bill that is subject to out-of pocket responsibility.

Marek Ciolko is co-founder and coCEO of Gravie. “Employers and individuals have embraced Gravie’s approach,” he says. Our team of innovators and the people who serve us nationwide are responsible for our continued momentum and ability make a positive difference.

Scott Omelianuk is the editor-in-chief at Inc. He says that what began during the pandemic was an effort to highlight companies that were helping the community. It has now grown into recognition of the community’s social, environmental and economic impact. This year’s list includes changemakers who are committed to helping the communities and people around them.

The editors at Inc. reviewed the accomplishments of the companies over the past year, and noted how they had made a difference in the world. The editors then chose honorees from more than 49 industries. With nearly 2,700 applicants, the acceptance rate was in the single digits. This is a great success for honors in the second year. Honorees for gold, silver, bronze, and general excellence across industries and categories are featured online at inc.com/best-in-business.
