These expanded offerings aim to enhance healthcare accessibility and affordability for millions of potential customers.

In an announcement made today, Cigna Healthcare unveiled its 2024 Medicare Advantage plans, featuring a comprehensive suite of benefits to help older adults manage their health effectively while considering their financial constraints. Chris DeRosa, President of U.S. Government Business at Cigna Healthcare, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing a variety of options to cater to customers’ unique budgets and lifestyles.

Affordable Plans with Robust Benefits

The 2024 Medicare Advantage plans from Cigna Healthcare boast a range of attractive features:

$0 Premium Options: In every service market, customers can access plans with a $0 premium, while most plans offer a $0 copay for primary care.
Rebates: Many markets include plans that offer a rebate toward the customer’s Medicare Part B monthly premium.
Built-in Benefits: All plans come with dental, vision, and hearing benefits, as well as home delivery of meals following hospitalization and access to fitness benefits. An enhanced hearing benefit covers hearing aids with predictable copays, along with routine hearing exams.
Value-Adds: Some plans offer additional benefits like transportation to and from doctors and pharmacies, allowances for over-the-counter health-related products, and a support program for caregivers.
Convenient Options: Customers will have access to an online tool for advance care planning, the myCigna app for real-time health and claims data, virtual care options for nonemergency urgent care, behavioral health, dermatology, and speech therapy needs, as well as 24-hour assistance from a nurse advocate over the telephone.
Incentives, Rewards, and Allowances: Cigna Healthcare introduces the Cigna Healthy Today? card, which consolidates benefits and incentives for convenient use at over 62,000 participating retailers nationwide. Depending on the plan, this card includes wellness incentives, rewards for volunteerism, funds for over-the-counter health-related items, and allowances for fitness supplies, utilities, and groceries. In 2024, customers will have even more control over how to allocate these funds.
Supplemental Options: Medicare Supplement plans from Cigna Healthcare are available in 48 states and the District of Columbia, offering flexible, affordable choices, and premium discounts for customers from the same household. Cigna also provides companion products, such as standalone dental plans, and comprehensive plans encompassing dental, vision, and hearing coverage.
Standalone Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs): Cigna Healthcare will offer three standalone Prescription Drug Plans, available in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. These plans feature $0 copay options for select medications purchased through preferred home delivery.

Cigna Saver Rx: An economical plan with lower premiums, low copays, and savings on generic drugs.
Cigna Secure Rx: Designed for basic protection and available to customers with a low-income subsidy.
Cigna Extra Rx: Provides extensive coverage with a robust drug list, a large pharmacy network, a low deductible, and special savings with gap coverage.

Expanded Service Areas

In a significant expansion effort, Cigna Healthcare is extending its MA service area for the fifth consecutive year, encompassing 603 counties across 29 states and the District of Columbia. This year marks Cigna’s entry into Nevada, serving the Las Vegas metro area in Clark and Nye counties, among other expansions.
