Ben and Corey are delighted to talk to AwardsDaily.com’s Sasha Stone about the state of the 2013 Oscar race.

Stone is arguably the best Oscar tracker and pundit in the industry after about 15 years of remaining plugged into movie awards races and staying as a solid early predictor of the outcomes.

If you have any interest whatsoever in tracking Oscar, Golden Globes, SAG and other precursors, Stone is a must-follow at AwardsDaily on Twitter.

We greatly appreciate that she was more than generous with her time, helping us size up the 2013 race, with “12 Years a Slave,” “Gravity” and “Captain Phillips” putting a bit of a stranglehold on the best picture competition, with ankle-biters like Alexander Payne’s “Nebraska,” the Coen Brothers’ “Inside Llewyn Davis” and others trying to sneak into the conversation, as well as unseen prospects like “Saving Mr. Banks.”

We also discuss the Oscar campaigning process at length, where it begins for movies that hope to stay on the tips of people’s and pundits’ tongues by year’s end, as well as other categories like the competitive best actor and actress races this year.
