Ben and Corey assemble for Joss Whedon’s Marvel casserole “The Avengers,” which just cleared $740 million worldwide, so they feel comfortable going into spoiler territory, so beware.

Producer Andrew Richardson chimes in as well, and look, it’s mostly a love fest. There’s little doubt left that Whedon hit a home run, combining Marvel’s major heroes into an amalgam of comic book movie glory.

Ben’s brother and Bloomberg producer Graham Flanagan reports back from the Tribeca Film Festival in New York with a review of the buzzed-about “Side by Side,” a documentary exploring the state of digital vs. film as told by directors and cinematographers like George Lucas, Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, Steven Soderbergh and Wally Pfister.

The guys then go week by week, breaking down the rest of the summer movie landscape, offering their picks for must-sees as the season rolls along.

Kicking off a new segment not unlike the “parting shots” you see on the Sunday morning ESPN show “The Sports Reporters” are FilmNerds.com’s Matt Scalici, Craig Hamilton and Ben Stark, who all share something film-related they’ve thought about these past few days.

Finally, the guys pay tribute to Beastie Boys founder and filmmaker to the late Adam Yauch (aka MCA), who contributed so much to music videos as well as independent film with his own films he made as well as the ones he distributed for his studio Oscilloscope Laboratories.
