For the most part, the pics are relatively safe with favorites like “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Linclon” and “Argo” rearing their heads, but the guys go out on a limb in a few categories.

It’s a shame that projecting a Joaquin Phoenix best actor nomination should be considered “going out on a limb,” but them seem to be the breaks this season.
