goodbye/fun facts....National Fruit at Work Day began during the dot-com era when unhealthy eating behavior among employees in the San Francisco area. People were too occupied to get healthy meals, so they settled for coffee and junk food. That led to The FruitGuys in 1998, which delivers fruits to people at their work across the United States.  Don't limit yourself to the traditional idea of fruit during this occasion. Since many of the fruits we think of as vegetables are in season...like .pumpkins, cucumbers, and avocados it's an excellent time to enjoy them too. you might even ask your employer to keep a box or bowl of fruit to snack on.
