John Harvey Kellogg and Will Keith Kellogg were experimenting with boiled wheat, as brothers do. in 1877 They left a batch out overnight and returned to find it stale. They tried the same process with corn, and created what we know today as Kellogg’s Corn Flakes. Then a man named Ferdinand Schumacher, a German immigrant, started German Mills American Oatmeal Company Schumacher adopted the Quaker symbol, which was the first registered trademark for a breakfast cereal. then in 1898 Charles W. Post introduced Grape-nuts and soon followed with Post Toasties."
