The United State’s first public zoo, Central Park Zoo, opened in 1874 in New York. if you don't want to visit in person...you can still do the virtual tour...but it costs a lot to feed and maintain the animals...which is where part of your admission cost goes...so consider donating some $$ to your favorite zoo!!
