goodbye/fun facts....Harriet Ross Tubman was born into slavery in Bucktown, Maryland, in or around the year 1820..she served in the Civil War as a soldier, spy, nurse, scout, and cook, and as a leader in working with newly freed slaves...she continued to fight for human dignity, human rights, opportunity, and justice. Tubman died of pneumonia on March 10, 1913, surrounded by friends and family, at around the age of 93. There is a film called Harriet that was either nominated or won many accolades
