silly/fun things that are actually great ideas
goodbye/fun facts....one of the world's most famous trees gets lit tonight...of course no spectators this year in Rockefeller Center...but it takes more than 5 miles of lights to get the 75 foot Norway Spruce ready. The Rockefeller Center tree custom as old as Rockefeller Center itself—starting back in the early 1930s when the Midtown complex was still under construction. In a typical year (which 2020 is not), organizers estimate around 750,000 people come by to visit the tree. After the tree is done spreading holiday cheer, it’s sent on its merry way to be used as lumber for Habitat for Humanity. Have a gorgeous Norway Spruce that could be a Rockefeller Center candidate? You can begin the tree-donation process online, but keep in mind, it may be a few years before your tree receives the final nod.
