Secret Proposal

This morning there was a report of a missing 8-foot snake in Newton, which reminded Ashlee that she doesn't understand the appeal of having a snake, as a pet. Santi mentioned the snake's name was "lighting" after hearing the report on the news this morning. We then got a call from a guy who has owned a few snakes and telling a few odd stories of what it's like living with one.

Dave called in to tell us that his mom told him she was going on vacation with her boyfriend, and he and his sister should join them as well. Dave felt this was an excellent opportunity for them to meet his mom's boyfriends kids, who were also set to go on vacation. They went and the holiday went great. After he and his sister left, he got a call from his mom telling him she had just gotten engaged. Dave is mad because his mother's boyfriend waited until her kids (he and his sister) had left so he could propose to his mother.
