It's a mentality that helped us to survive in the ages before technology, and we grew up watching it in the Saturday morning cartoons.

Us vs. Them: Good guys and bad guys, Cat and Mouse, Cowboys and Indians, Black and White, Muslim and Christian, Liberal and Conservative.....what we percieve to be Good and Evil based on what we're told in the media and on social platforms.

The very idea that we must be afraid of and control each other because of our differences is the foundation of the "us v. them" mentality.
