I had Thomas Blackshear on today... What a fun podcast. He's such an animated, interesting human being who's had a unique story from day one. Thomas was meant to be an artist. He's done things as varied as doing plates for collectibles. He was also intimately involved in a series of black figurines - sculptures in the collectible world, the series being a number-one seller for like 20 years.

Thomas has had to face difficulties as most of us do in life. Sometimes we have obstacles that are larger than others and he's managed to find his path and stay true to himself as an artist. At times he's had to reinvent himself and you'll hear in his story, if you really are "all in" as an artist, you will find a way to succeed.

That doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be rich. In fact, you probably won't, but you will succeed artistically if you stick with it. For Thomas, what he's doing right now is the most important, which is really having fun and enjoying his God-given talents.

You see, Thomas burst onto the Western and Native American art scene with his paintings in 2017. So he's only been in this arena of art for five years. The thing is - he's got like 45 years as a serious player in the world of illustration. I'm a serious fan of his work, I collect his work, and I encourage you to listen to this podcast so you'll understand Thomas Blackshear, the person. This is part two of two.
