Kevin Macpherson took time a month ago from his painting schedule to Zoom with me on the podcast. He's a renowned painter and author who has written four instructional books and was one of the very first artists to start writing these types of books in the early 90s. Kevin also had a PBS show that lasted for two years with 26 episodes - and he's an amazing painter, I've always been a fan of his work.

Kevin paints with an impressionistic plein air style that he does so well it's become iconic. When you see a Kevin Macpherson painting you know it can't be anyone else's work. Now he's doing other things that are very interesting including portrait paintings, (which I would have never thought he would go that route) sculpture, etc. but you know he's an artist, and when you are an artist you look for those components in your life that are unique and different that excite you.

These days Kevin produces videos aimed at teaching the fundamentals of plein air painting on location while simultaneously doing these wonderful small stone sculptures that beauty lies in their simplicity. Kevin also operates a foundation for children and the arts, he's clearly a very deep, and kind individual. Come to think of it, I've never seen Kevin without a smile. It's a wonderful passion that he has for his profession.
