I had Kevin Chupik on the podcast today and wow, what an interesting guy. I love this podcast on so many levels because, you know, he's had this really tough road to get where he is and not just from a point of just trying to make it as an artist.

It's always a hard road. But Kevin was a very active, athletic individual who was doing guided trips, you know, teaching biking and mountain biking and really spending lots of time in the back woods. Then he had a major accident and crushed his T-12, which caused him to be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

He didn't let that stop him. In fact, he used it as a motivator to really become who he is today. So when you hear something like that, you've got to just go, wow, that's the kind of person I want to meet.

And his paintings are wonderful. I had no idea about his accident until actually last night. You know, I found his work on Instagram and was so impressed with his concept of how he wants to show the West. So I invited him to be part of my Rodeo de Tucson show, which is coming up on February 3rd, 2023.

It was wonderful to get to spend an hour with Kevin. I think he is a unique, gifted individual who will see a lot more of in the future. Kevin Chupik on Art Dealer Diaries episode 218.
