In this episode Leah and Andrew interview seminary student Russell Almand about his journey of growing up in the church and realizing he was gay. In part 2 Russell talks about several biblical passages around homosexuality and dove into Romans 1:26-27. Russell emphasizes that biblical passages on homosexuality should be the beginning of conversations with others rather than the end. Next he gives his advice to the church and other gay Christians as they seek to love the gay community well while maintaining a traditional biblical understanding of marriage. Russell gives clarity, theological depth, and compassion in his explanations and reflections. In part 1, Russell shared his story, challenges, and blessings that come from being a gay Christian.
