Scott Lightsey from The Pennyroyals

In this week’s episode, we are joined by one of Greg’s favorite people from the music scene, Scott Lightsey. Scott was the drummer for The Pennyroyals as they toured all over including their run on the 2003 Vans Warped Tour. Greg and Scott’s friendship dates back to over 20 years, and they talk all about their time together. Scott gives his thoughts on the first time they ever met as he saw Greg as Winnie the Pooh during their Warped Tour Set. They also talk all about the New York / New Jersey music scene back in the early 2000’s and how the pop punk/emo scene took over. From the days of shows at Krome, to Birch Hill, to NJ basements, to firehouses, and all the way to the Warped Tour at Asbury Park, Greg and Scott tell it all! Scott is still playing drums today and it won’t be long until their paths meet again at a show!
