The new series featuring Team and Para GB athletes aiming for Tokyo 2020 in 2021
In this podcast series, from Anything but Footy, we speak to Team GB and Para GB athletes preparing for Tokyo 2020 in 2021, following the historic delay to the Games because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Niamh Emerson is the World Junior Champion and has also won European Indoor Championship silver medal and Commonwealth Games bronze medal. She is targeting selection in the heptathlon in Tokyo and admits in this interview how the postponement of the games may prove helpful after getting injured in 2020.
Niamh is also an ambassador for Glorious - an online platform which is aiming to promote women's sport and participation by girls and young women and she describes how important sport was to her whilst growing up.
