In this week's anxiety-inducing episode, Abby regales the crew with the gripping and horrific tale of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis in 1945 during WWII.
After delivering the integral components for "Little Boy", the world's first atomic bomb that would later be dropped on Hiroshima, the USS Indianapolis was attacked and sunk by a Japanese submarine. Almost 900 men would go into the shark-infested waters and blunders by the US Navy would result in the largest loss of life from a single ship in the US Navy's history.
