How were people in places as different as Egypt, ancient China, and what’s now the US, building structures that look so similar to each other?

Ziggurats, pyramids, and mounds have been found all over the world. They all have a similar shape. So: how were people in places as different as Egypt, ancient China, and what’s now the US, building structures that look so similar to each other?
Well, the Bible gives us the answer. Genesis chapter eleven tells us that all of Noah’s descendants gathered to build a city and a tower. God then divided their language, scattering them over the earth.
Perhaps the tower of Babel was a ziggurat. So, as people moved around the world, they took the knowledge of how to build such a structure with them and they replicated it in other places.
Yes, Babel was a real event.
